Morel Mushrooms

I have these growing in my backyard. Apparently they are valuable to many people but I am not one of them, I don't do mushrooms on anything. I'm wondering how I can get these into the hands of someone that wants them. Do I sell them, find someone who wants them, dry them? Maybe I could go to the farmers market and see if someone wants to sell them. I have no clue but we're waiting to mow the lawn until we find out.

Let me know if you have any ideas or know someone who would want a bucket full of morel mushrooms.

  1. I've never had morels before, but I've heard they're good.

I'd be happy to give them a try, I love mushrooms!

  2. Unfortunately I got home to a mowed lawn yesterday with mushrooms strewed about. Apparently my fiance didn't take me seriously when I said I wanted to do something with them. But we did save a few, I'm just worried they won't last too long now that they're out of the ground. Let me know what you want me to do, I'd love to share them.

  3. I would love to have them. They are pretty tasty when fried, and I grew up hunting them every spring with my family. Yum!!!

If you pick them, put them in a brown paper bag, unwashed, and they will keep in the fridge for days.
